Any payment that is not going to a landlord or to be taken in fees on a percentage basis from the tenant's requests, needs to be added as a charge. Therefore, deposits need to be added as charges, payable to the custodial deposit supplier. If you have an insured scheme, you can add your insured deposit bank account as a supplier.

To do this create a supplier for your deposit and then add the charge below.

Deposit House

Unit 5

London

(note- the deposit should be registered with the custodial scheme prior to the charge being added so the reference for the payment can be added as the reference for the charge. This will be seen on the suppliers bank statement when paid so the deposit can be reconciled with the payment).
