Before a landlord can be Reimbursed funds held for NRL tax you must add an exemption code into Lettspay. An exemption code is an NRL number or approval reference provided by the HMRC for that particular landlord.

To add an exemption code:

Click on wallets and then the landlords sub tab on the right hand side.

Then search for the landlord using the search term

You can then select actions and “edit” against the landlord

Scroll to the bottom of the landlord details and under their bank details section input the exemption code provided by HMRC for the landlord and click save.

If you then go back to the landlords page under wallets and search for the landlord again you will be able to select actions and “Reimburse.” Once you have selected “Reimburse” you will see a pop up box where you can input your 2 factor authentication code to pay the funds back to the landlord.

Once you have made any reimbursements to the landlord you can generate a landlord statement to show NRL amounts paid and / or reimbursed by clicking on the article here.
